What are white fillings?
White fillings are made from a tooth-coloured composite resin and are used to restore decayed or broken teeth. We only use the best quality materials, and all of our fillings are composite as standard which look very natural, so nobody will be able to tell that you have them.
What will the treatment involve?
We will usually numb the tooth and its surrounding area with a local anaesthetic, and will remove any decay, plaque and tartar from the tooth.
When all decay has been removed, the tooth will be cleaned, shaped and dried. We will then shape the filling, so that it blends in completely, and so it does not interfere with the way your teeth meet when you bite and chew.
How do I avoid needing a filling in the future?
The best way to avoid needing a filling is to make sure you attend all of your dental check-ups and hygienist visits. Early signs of decay can be spotted and addressed, helping you avoid further treatment.
I am a nervous patient, how can you help me?
We will be gentle, and discuss how we can best support you before we begin. Many patients choose to have their fillings done at multiple (shorter) visits, or whilst listening to music, or even without any anaesthetic. We will always work with you to find the approach that works for you.
How much will a white filling cost?
We would always advise booking a consultation with one of our dentists for a set-in-stone treatment plan, however we give £95 as a guide price, dependent on the size and complexity of the filling needed.
Can you replace my silver fillings with white fillings?
Yes! We can replace your old silver fillings with beautiful white fillings at no extra charge.
